Family tradition and passion for the olive grove in every drop
Aceites El Tilo was born from the Santos Díaz family’s love for olive trees in the Villuercas mountain range. In 2014, Jaime Santos expanded the family olive grove and, together with his family, created the brand to bring his exceptional early harvest oil to the world.
Aceites el Tilo was born in the heart of a humble family that has dedicated all its life to agriculture and olive growing in the Villuercas mountain range (Cáceres), where there is a great olive growing tradition. The oils obtained from its olive trees transmit all the love for the land cultivated by the Santos Díaz family for generations.
In 2014, Jaime Santos Barroso expanded the original unirrigated olive grove on the family estate ‘El Tilo’ with the planting of 7,000 olive trees of the same Cornicabra variety, with a drip irrigation system. Shortly afterwards, together with his wife Mº Carmen and his sons Pablo and Jaime, they decided to market their early harvest oils, creating the company ‘Aceites El Tilo’ and the brand of the same name.
All the knowledge passed down from generation to generation, together with new cultivation and extraction technologies, has enabled us to obtain Cornicabra single-varietal oils, with high sensory quality and great health attributes, the result of the unique and incomparable natural environment of the Villuercas mountain range where our estate is located.
