El Tilo oils are made from Cornicabra olives, one of the best varieties grown in Extremadura. This olive produces fruity and aromatic oils, with medium bitter and spicy values. The olives are harvested early, at the beginning of November, when they begin to change colour.
The extra virgin quality of our Extremadura oils makes them ideal for raw consumption, enhancing the flavour and texture of food and making it more nutritious and digestible. However, they are equally suitable for all uses in everyday cooking.
Our oil has been awarded the AVPA (Agency for the Valuation of Agricultural Products) Gourmet Product medal in the framework of the 18th edition of the ‘Oils of the World’ competition. An event that brings together producers from countries such as Spain, Italy and France to reward the best agricultural products of excellence.
Olivera Tradition in a Natural Paradise
The El Tilo estate is located in the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara Geopark, in the province of Cáceres (Extremadura). It is a farm of 35 hectares of olive groves; it contains 9000 olive trees, exclusively of the cornicabra variety. This variety is ideal for the mountain climate and the orography of the terrain.
Within the estate there are another 30 hectares of cork oaks, holm oaks, junipers and scrubland, with various species of flora and fauna.
